Nina Jerome: The Nature of Water
"While traveling during an artist’s residency in Hafnarfjordur, Iceland in 2018, I saw dark, brooding, treeless landscapes, littered with moss-covered lava through which rivers flowed, water tumbled and fell, and mist rose. It appeared that forces of gravity created movement and tension throughout the land. While there, I completed a series of gouache and acrylic paintings, and recently returned to the subject to explore this movement on a larger scale with oil paint." - Nina Jerome
